Director of Strategic Partnerships Taurean Morton and Program Manager Mary Carter led the Reading Roadmap tutors in the Leland School District’s fall training session. During the session, tutors reviewed students’ data from the previous year and received a refresher on implementing the Reading Roadmap curriculum to ensure program fidelity. Sandra Brooks, DHA Resource and Referral Associate, also presented the services available at the Leland location to support tutors and students.

Clarksdale Collegiate scholars wrapped up summer program with some awesome creative activities. Building swing sets and merry-go-rounds, writing thank you letters to community heroes and take a look at these vocabulary word walls! Awesome work!

Experiences like these remind us that learning doesn't stop at the school doors—it comes alive through exploration, discovery, and hands-on adventures. The summer scholars at Lyon and Friars Point Elementary went on their own adventure to Cedar Hill Farm. They got to explore nature with a train ride, learn about the animals in the petting zoo and got to pick their very own fresh berries. What a great way to wrap up their summer program.
