💙 A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Putnam County School Counselors 💙

Since the very beginning of the Putnam County Su***de Awareness Event, our school counselors have stood beside us with unwavering support, and we couldn't be more grateful.

Day in and day out, these incredible individuals work behind the scenes to ensure our students feel seen, valued, heard, and loved. They are often the first to notice when a student is struggling, the first to offer a listening ear, and the first to remind them that they never have to face life's challenges alone.

Having our school counselors involved in this event means so much. Not only does it encourage students to participate in a day centered around hope and mental health, but it also reinforces an important message—that it's okay to ask for help. Seeing familiar, trusted faces at this event helps break down barriers and reminds our youth that support is always within reach.

To every school counselor across Putnam County: thank you for the compassion, patience, and dedication you pour into our children each and every day. Your impact reaches far beyond the walls of your schools, and our community is stronger because of you.

From the classroom to the field, track, and career-technical competitions, Putnam County students continue to set the standard for excellence. This spring, we celebrate the many state qualifiers who earned the opportunity to compete among Ohio's best, along with the Leipsic Baseball Team and Ottawa-Glandorf Girls Track Team for their State Runner-Up finishes, the Columbus Grove Boys and Girls Track Teams for capturing State Championships, and Ottoville's Cruse Schroeder for achieving National Champion status in Heavy Equipment Operation. These accomplishments reflect the talent, dedication, and strong educational foundation found throughout Putnam County. Congratulations to our students for their outstanding accomplishments!

The Putnam County Educational Service Center is seeking a Primary Multiple Disabilities Intervention Specialist for the 2026-2027 school year. This position will serve students in our ESC classroom located at Continental Elementary School.

We're looking for a passionate educator committed to helping students with diverse learning needs reach their full potential. Candidates must hold (or be willing to pursue) an Ohio Intervention Specialist License.

Thanks to the Quarry Farm for hosting a fun nature-inspired art activity today! Students made a landscaping stepper to take home! Thanks also to the Ohio Arts Council for providing grant funding for opportunities like this!
