I have openings in my schedule and offer lessons in piano, voice, guitar and band instruments. Lessons can either be given in person or on Zoom. The first lesson for new students is free, so just give it a try!

Now that school is starting back up, it is a good time to consider enrolling your child in music lessons. I do have openings in my schedule and would love to find a time that works for you. You will receive a free trial lesson by signing up on my website. There's a good chance that your family will also qualify for free music lessons through Gov. Kelly's program that provides $1,000 to school-age children using funding through the federal Recovery Act. I am a certified instructor in that program. Please be aware that Gov. Kelly has increased the threshold at which families can qualify for KEEP funds that can be used to pay for educational tutoring, etc., INCLUDING MUSIC LESSONS. That threshold has been raised to 300% of the federal poverty guidelines.

For example, a family of four, using 2022 income figures, could qualify if they make $83,250 or less:

Using 2023 income figures, that would be $90,000 or less.

Each student enrolled in K-12 can receive up to $1,000 per year under this program. McCune Music Studio is a certified provider under this program. You just need to submit an invoice from me and they will either reimburse you directly or pay me directly if you prefer.

I am very pleased to be a certified provider for this new program that is rolling out to Kansas families tomorrow, Feb. 22. One of the provided services under this program are music lessons. I do offer a free trial music lesson. Although it says instrumental lessons, I have been assured that vocal lessons are also included. Please check to see if you or someone you know qualifies for this program. You can then contact me about using the funds for music lessons by private message, by phone at 785-521-3060 or on my website at https://mccunemusicstudio.com. At this time, the regulations only allow the funds to be used for in-person lessons.
