A few moments from yesterday’s Beginning Pas de Deux class. 🩰

Partnering is about so much more than lifts. It’s trust, communication, timing, and teamwork 💙

Every class is a chance to build those skills, one correction, one exercise, and one successful moment at a time.

Some of the biggest accomplishments happen quietly, in the small adjustments and growing confidence that eventually make partnering feel effortless.

We’re proud to offer consistent Pas de Deux training as part of our program, giving dancers the opportunity to develop an important part of their classical ballet education.

Watching these dancers continue to grow together has been so rewarding, and we can’t wait to see where their training takes them next! 🩰

Senior Spotlight! 🎓

As we transition from an incredible season into our summer session, we’re taking a moment to celebrate our graduating senior, Judah Mahan.

Judah has been such an important part of our studio family. We have had the privilege of watching him grow into a dedicated dancer, leader, and artist, and we are so proud of all he has accomplished.

When asked to reflect, Judah shared:

“Over the past 11 years, I have had the privilege of working with and under many talented dancers and teachers at North Ballet. They have pushed me far beyond what I thought was possible. From them I have learned perseverance, integrity, work ethic, and many other priceless skills. I would like to specifically thank Maddy Werner, Sage Engle-Laird, and Anthony Schweighardt, for their individual contributions to my experience.

To Maddy- your hard work and dedication to your students is truly inspiring, and I am grateful for every hour you have poured into teaching and pushing us to greater levels.

To Sage- thank you for all the classes, rehearsals, and personal corrections over the past year and a half. Your care and consideration have not gone unnoticed.

To Anthony- You have given me a passion for dancing that I didn’t know I had, shown me firsthand what single-minded dedication looks like, and taught me countless lessons that I will take with me for the rest of my life.

Through the art of ballet all of you have shown me how to strive for things that aren’t yet tangible, push past pain to reap future rewards, and give everything I have for something that is greater than myself. North Ballet is my home and I intend to keep dancing here, with all of you, for as long as I can.”
