Day 2 of officer training began with a delicious catered breakfast from Madison’s Sweet Treats.

Officers then continued their leadership development with a session based on Start With Why by Simon Sinek, focusing on discovering their personal "why" and developing a shared chapter "why" to guide their leadership throughout the year.

Officers had the opportunity to learn from three outstanding local business owners: Meghann Blach, owner of Farm House Market in Yuma, and Ryan and Danyell Horton, owners of Red J Welding and Five Star Rentals & Equipment in Haxtun. Each shared their entrepreneurial journey, the purpose behind their businesses, and the lessons they've learned along the way.

A huge thank you to our guest speakers for sharing their “why” and investing in the future leaders of our community. We can't wait to put these lessons into action as we kick off another exciting year of Lone Star FBLA!

Our officers spent the day developing leadership skills, building teamwork, and laying the foundation for a successful year ahead. A special thank you to Tim Stahley, Director of the CSU Northeast Regional Engagement Center, for facilitating an engaging and impactful day of training.

Seniors Kaylee Coin and Peytyn K***z, joined Andy Rice on KPMX in Sterling to share their FBLA experiences, discuss what inspired them to join, reflect on their leadership journeys, and talk about their future goals.

Throughout the day, officers participated in a strengths assessment, tackled communication challenges, envisioned the year ahead, and began creating their chapter Program of Work. The day concluded with each officer making a personal commitment to the team and the success of our chapter.

We're excited to build on today's momentum and can't wait for Day 2! 💙💛
