In case you missed it this morning, watch and see what happens when we try the classic Diet Coke and Mentos experiment inside of a 4 ft tall vacuum chamber.
What do you think will happen? Will the reduced air pressure cause it to erupt more Diet Coke? Will it speed up the reaction? will it slow the reactions down? Or, will something completely different happen?

For those of you who tried to buy one of these at White Elephant after this segment aired, I apologize. I did not realize how popular this one was going to be and they sold out immediately after they opened (just an hour after this aired last Saturday. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that people were lined up when they opened at 9:00 and they continued to get phone calls all day asking if they had any left. One viewer did inform me that he found it online via amazon and I see that they have a "mini" version of it. I also see that you can order them through walmart and several other places.

In this weeks segement of the Saturday Morning Science we show you how to make your own wobblebot. As I stated in the video, I saw these on Pinterest and this is my updated version that the kids can build and wire themselves. Afterwards, they get to get creative and decorate them however they want. If you would like detailed instructions, let me know and I will send them to you.

In case you missed it...
Here is the segment on making your own slap bracelets. As mentioned in the video, please use extreme caution as the metal strips can be sharp and will need to be sanded and covered to protect you from harm. We used duct tape which you can get in a variety of colors and patterns. Please have a responsible adult help you with this project and have fun!
