For one incredible day, teens from across Louisiana, Mississippi, and beyond will gather to encounter Christ through powerful speakers, live music, the sacraments, prayer, and an amazing Catholic community.

Our theme this year is “Our Life, Our Sweetness, and Our Hope,” and we truly believe God has something special in store.

If you’re in grades 7–12, we would love for you to join us on October 10 at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Retreat Center in Chatawa, Mississippi.

Many of you have asked how to keep up with everything happening for Hope Youth Fest, so we finally gave it its own page! 🎉

If Camp Chatawa has been a place where your camper has encountered Christ, made lifelong friendships, and grown in their faith, Hope Youth Fest is the next step. It’s a day filled with incredible speakers, live music, the sacraments, prayer, and thousands of young people coming together to celebrate our Catholic faith.

This past week at Camp Chatawa, we were blessed beyond measure by the presence of so many incredible religious who shared their time, joy, wisdom, and faith with our campers.

A heartfelt thank you to Father Paul and Father Kumar from St. Margaret, Queen of Scotland Catholic Church, Mercedarian Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament, and Frati Poveri e Suore Povere di Gesù e Maria - Approvati (Poor Friars and Poor Nuns of Jesus and Mary) for making Christ present in such a beautiful way throughout the week.

Whether celebrating Mass, through prayer, sharing meals, playing cricket, making crafts, singing, laughing, swimming, or simply spending time with our campers, your witness reminded us all that God’s love is alive and active in the world.

Thank you for saying “yes” to this ministry and for helping make Camp Chatawa a place where faith is not only taught but truly lived. Your presence left a lasting impact on our campers, counselors, and staff, and we are so grateful.

Please keep our Camp Chatawa family in your prayers, just as we will continue to keep each of you in ours. ❤️✝️☀️

Here’s a little glimpse into the fun, friendship, and faith that have filled our first few days together. More memories are still to come!

We know many parents are keeping an eye on the weather, so we wanted to provide a quick update.

Camp Chatawa is doing great! Our campers are safe, happy, and having a wonderful time. We continuously monitor weather conditions and have established emergency procedures in place for severe weather. Our staff is trained, prepared, and committed to the safety of every camper entrusted to our care.

As always, camper safety is our top priority. For now, the rain has simply meant a few schedule adjustments and extra indoor fun!

Thank you for your trust, your prayers, and for sharing your children with us this week. Please know that we will continue to monitor conditions closely and communicate any important updates if needed.
