We are so excited to welcome Fr. Reuben D***s to Hope Youth Fest!

Fr. Reuben serves the Catholic communities of Mater Dolorosa in Independence, St. Helena in Amite, and St. Dominic in Loranger. He’s also no stranger to Chatawa, having been part of retreat ministry right here at Our Lady of Hope before.

And at Hope Fest, Fr. Reuben has a pretty important job. He’ll be celebrating Holy Mass with us!

With hundreds of teens coming together from churches all over Louisiana and Mississippi, one of the best parts of the entire day is getting to stop everything and gather around the altar together.

We are so excited to have Fr. Reuben D***s with us and can’t wait to celebrate Mass with him at Hope Youth Fest! ❤️‍🔥

🔥 HOPE FEST SPEAKER SPOTLIGHT! 🔥

Fair warning… this is NOT going to be your typical “sit quietly and listen to a priest talk” kind of session.

Fr. Brad Doyle is coming to Hope Youth Fest!

Fr. Brad is a Baton Rouge native, priest, podcaster, storyteller, and evangelist who has a gift for talking about the Catholic faith in a way that is real, funny, and actually makes you think.

You may know him from The Quizzical Papist, Coffee Talk with Fr. Brad, or the Morning Offering Podcast, but we think you’re going to like him even better LIVE. 👀

Behind all the laughs is a priest who genuinely loves Jesus and wants young people to know that a life with Christ is anything but boring.

Trust us on this one. You’re gonna love Fr. Brad. ❤️‍🔥

We can’t wait to welcome him to Hope Youth Fest!

✨ HOPE FEST SPEAKER SPOTLIGHT! ✨

We are so excited to welcome Fr. Taylor Reynolds to Hope Youth Fest!

Fr. Taylor is a Louisiana native and priest of the Diocese of Alexandria, but he also has a pretty incredible connection to a story that is close to the hearts of Catholics all across Louisiana.

Fr. Taylor served as the Episcopal Delegate for the Cause of Canonization of Servant of God Charlene Richard, our beloved “Little Cajun Saint.” In that role, he helped lead the Church’s investigation into Charlene’s life and holiness and was part of the team that carried the documentation of her cause all the way to Rome and the Vatican. 🇻🇦⚜️

He’s also the author of No Longer Strangers: Finding Companionship with the Saints and has a passion for helping people understand that the saints aren’t just stories from the past, they are real friends in heaven pointing us toward Jesus.

Louisiana. The Saints. Charlene Richard. And a priest with some incredible stories to tell.

We cannot wait to have Fr. Taylor Reynolds at Hope Youth Fest! 🙌❤️‍🔥

Here’s a little glimpse into the fun, friendship, and faith that have filled our first few days together. More memories are still to come!

06/16/2026

We know many parents are keeping an eye on the weather, so we wanted to provide a quick update.

Camp Chatawa is doing great! Our campers are safe, happy, and having a wonderful time. We continuously monitor weather conditions and have established emergency procedures in place for severe weather. Our staff is trained, prepared, and committed to the safety of every camper entrusted to our care.

As always, camper safety is our top priority. For now, the rain has simply meant a few schedule adjustments and extra indoor fun!

Thank you for your trust, your prayers, and for sharing your children with us this week. Please know that we will continue to monitor conditions closely and communicate any important updates if needed.
