Over the years, our kids learned in a lot of different places and in a lot of different ways.
They attended public school.
Private school.
Homeschool.
Lily went to therapeutic day school.
We used tutors, outside classes, support programs, online resources, co-ops, different curricula—and leaned on an incredible assortment of friends, families, educators and support professionals who became part of our journey.
Over 14 years, even our homeschooling changed.
When it was time—even if *I* wasn't ready (because dang, I love having my kids around) our homeschooling journey ended.
Looking back, are there things I would do differently? Absolutely.
But there's one thing I wouldn't change.
I never wanted the educational model to be more important than the child's needs.
It meant being willing to ask:
What does each child need right now?
Not what worked for a sibling.
Not what was planned three years ago.
Not what someone else was doing.
That belief became part of the DNA of ACES.
It's why we don't believe an incredible education has to look one particular way.
Academy Days can be part of it.
Working at home can be part of it.
Online learning can be part of it.
Mini-Academy, tutors, community programs, field trips, outside classes and countless other experiences can be part of it.
And sometimes, a traditional school is the right next step, too.
The goal isn't to find the one perfect educational model and hold onto it forever.
The goal is to build an education that allows your child to learn, grow and thrive—and to have the freedom to change it when they do.
That's what we mean when we say:
✨ Multiple Options. One Incredible Education. ✨
And whatever your family's education looks like right now, there's a place for YOU at our table.
❤️ Together We Learn Better.
