It's Friday...you know what that means! ๐ Oz AMA gives you the Friday Spotlight on one of our members. Name: Tal Gordon
Major(s): Marketing and Finance
Minor(s): Economics
Year: Junior
Position: Director of Membership
I was born in Manhattan but I moved to Long Island when I was about 12. I live in a very small town (East Quogue) in Suffolk County. One of the only reasons I go home is to play with dog.
Getting involved in AMA: I got involved in AMA because marketing is my passion. I saw AMA doing great things in the community and I wanted to be apart of the organizations, so I can give back and help the community. Lastly, to be a part of something much bigger than myself and make SUNY Oswego my home.
Graduation: When I graduate I plan on getting in a job some type of sales and then slowly working my way up the hierarchy and then eventually working for EPSN as a sports marketer.
Advice: My advice to AMA members is to reach for the stars and donโt let anybody tell you differently. Donโt let anybody bring you down or tell you, โyou canโt do thatโ or โthatโs not possible,โ with great work ethic, the right state of mind and the right attitude, a lot is possible and achievable.
Have a great weekend!! ๐๐

It's Friday ๐ Oz AMA brings you a special AMA member Spotlight every week:
Name: Alexis Corcoran
Major: Accounting
Year: Senior
Position: Director of Community Outreach
Hometown: I am from Highland Mills in Orange County New York. I love my hometown because there are so many hiking trails and outdoor activities to be involved with.
Getting involved with AMA: I may not be a marketing major, but throughout my undergraduate degree I have always loved my marketing courses. I got involved with the club last year because it held a lot of ideas and creativity that I wanted to be involved with.
Graduation: When I graduate I plan on finding an accounting job in New York City that involves either a startup organization or a not for profit.
Advice: My advice to fellow members would be to step back and look at who you want to be 10 years from now. I feel like so many students get too involved with graduating and their degree rather than focusing on what kind of lifestyle they want in the future and what exactly they want to do. Do not let your professors or fellow students decide who you should be, be who you want to be.

Some AMA members went out to volunteer at the Oswego County Humane Society's Annual Dog Walk/5k Event. It was a beautiful day to get out and support the necessary work that the Oswego County Humane Society provides for animals in need.
