Supply Chain/ Operations Management - SCOPE

This week SCOPE is excited to bring you Matthew Clark from ABF Freight! Matthew will be presenting with an Oswego Alum. They are both coming to talk about how to get a job after college and ABF freight in the scope of operations and supply chain. Matthew's presentation will be on Tuesday April 21st, at7:00 PM in Marano Campus Center room 223.

Matthew will also be leading a tour of ABF Freight on April 28th. Attendance at his presentation on the 21st is mandatory for those who wish to attend the tour.

Bill Spinelli, CPIM will be giving a presentation on APICS. Bill is the president of APICS CNY and is currently working at SRCTec Inc.
He will be speaking to SCOPE about joining APICS and the transition SCOPE will take into an APICS student chapter.

This is an important informational meeting so please attend!

Hello SCOPE! Just a reminder that there will be a meeting tonight, Tuesday October 7th at 7:00 PM in the Marano Campus Center 232! Guy Scott will be coming in to give a presentation on "Skills, Ideas And Traits To Get You The Job And Move You Up Once You Got It.”

The presentation is a great way to network, and to learn about getting the job you want, right out of college.

Guy Scott has taught in the Rich Hall School of Business as an adjunct professor for 4 years, has spent 37 years in the corporate world and was a Vice President for three different international firms and lead for north american operations when he retired.

It should be an amazing presentation so please attend!

This week Charlie Cator from Novelis will be coming to do a presentation on Novelis’ purchasing and supply chain. It should be a wonderful presentation to learn from, as well as an awesome networking opportunity.

This week SCOPE will be hosting Dan Dorsi from Eagle Beverage to do a presentation on Eagle Beverages operations. Dan Dorsey is the principal manager at Eagle Beverage. The presentation will be on Thursday April 1st at 6:00 PM in Campus Center room 223.

The presentation will cover a lot of operations techniques, problems, and professional advice. The meeting will also serve as a great networking opportunity!

This past meeting SCOPE was joined by Mr Michael Benoit, the Supply Chain Manager of the Budweiser Factory here in local Baldwinsville, NY.

Just a reminder that tonights presentation by Budweiser Supply Chain Manager is at 7:00 PM in campus center 223. Please come and don’t forget that this presentation is a pre-requisite for the Budweiser tour in April.

Hello SCOPE!

This week we will have a very special presentation. This coming Thursday SCOPE, the supply chain and operations management organization will be hosting a presentation on The Budweiser Supply Chain. Michael Benoit, The supply chain manager at Budweiser in Baldwinsville will be presenting on Thursday March 13th at 7:00 PM in Campus Center room 223.

The presentation will talk about the unique steps Michael and his colleagues have to take in the process of supplying Budweisers product to the public. The extremely interesting presentation will also be accompanied by a visit to the Budweiser factory later in the semester. You do not want to miss this presentation!

The presentation is open to all students and should be a great opportunity to network and learn a bit about operations management and supply chain.
