The Centipedes visited Kid Cave today!
They looked at the land, sea and air travel flannel boards and placed the correct transportation vehicles for each landscape. 🛳️✈️🚲🚗

They also listened to an audio book, used our imaginations and drew on our white board!!

We started discussing/exploring different people, music and books in honor of celebrating Black History Month!
We danced to Whitney Houston in the atrium and discussed Alfred Cralle- who invented the ice cream scoop!
Miss. Serna read us the book "Our Beautiful Colors" and we were able to learn how even though we are all different!

We are learning all about our bodies this week!
The Natterjacks Today got to use a light table and examine and identify what types of animal X-rays! They were able to explore the bodies of animals. We discussed how animal bodies are different then humans.
The Cents worked on labeling parts of the body. They each got a paper with a person printed out. They also got a variety of body parts inside and outside. They tried their best to label where the body part goes. They worked on gluing down the pieces and identifying each body part.
The Bats got to pick between a girl and a boy, then they used their listening ears to find the said body part in a pile of pictures, then think about where it is on their own body! Then they placed it correctly on the image!

President’s Day Training at CAPO! The capital of teachers worked together using our nature based toys to be creative.

We started K CLUB TODAY!!
All our friends who will be attending Kindergarten in the Fall began by working on their responsibilities- which included learning where they will be turning in their homework!! (Down the Natters hallway under our K Club board). They also worked on a writing activity where they wrote what they think they are going to do on their first day of Kindergarten! They also took the time to draw a picture to go along with what they think they are going to do when they get to Kindergarten!!

Homework is in their folders (if you haven't brought one in, please return their homework in one so we can easily keep track of their work). Please take the time to create their family banner with the kiddos so we can display them!

Over the last few days the kids learned about a dew animals and hibernation. What they do during the winter, fun facts, interests about the animal.

All fun nights, CAPO Sweet Heart Dance, must come to an end!
