📚 Traughber is excited to welcome our first author of the year! 📚

Thanks to Anderson's Bookshop, our 6th graders will kick off their reading journey at Traughber with a special visit from New York Times bestselling author and illustrator Maria Scrivan!

Maria will share what it’s like to be an author, walk students through her creative process, and even show us how she brings her illustrations to life. ✏️📖

Students will also have the opportunity to purchase Maria’s newest book, featuring all the friendships, challenges, and adventures that come with junior high life!

We can’t wait to welcome Maria Scrivan to Traughber! 💛🖤

Mrs. Kellogg's Honors 8th Grade History students are showing what they learned about the principles in the US Constitution. Each group was assigned a principle and created a diorama demonstrating what this looks like in real life...using gummy bears for We the People!

In Honors English I, we are delving into our very first novel (Lord of the Flies) soon, and we will be participating in our own Lord of the Flies simulation! Today, students chose a group, created a name and headband, and will soon embark on various survival adventures, just like our characters in Lord of the Flies! May the odds be ever in their favor! Here are some pictures of these amazing kids!

Another DURING school opportunity to get involved and meet new people: Monthly LRC Lunch Bunch! Students sign-up on a month to month basis depending which activities interest them in the LRC google classroom. Students bring their lunch to the LRC and enjoy the monthly theme!

Another club option that is DURING the school day is Library Crew. Students can volunteer in the LRC once a week either during Study Hall or 2nd half of lunch period. Applications can be found in the LRC. Great way to get involved and meet new people.
