From incarceration to higher education leadership, Jarret Orcutt’s journey is a powerful example of what’s possible when opportunity meets determination.

As Coordinator of the Justice Involved Education (JIVE) program at Truckee Meadows Community College, Jarret is helping justice-impacted students navigate the path from custody to college and meaningful careers. During Hudson Link’s Reentry Capacity Building Summit in Ossining, NY, Jarret shared his perspective on peer mentorship, cross-sector partnerships, and how education can create stronger pathways to success.

As we honor our faculty at today’s Faculty Appreciation Event, we want to take a moment and share a few testimonials from some of our dedicated educators and staff who make this life-changing work possible.

From leading late evening classes to the urgent preparation of coursework, our "angels of academia" consistently empower our students through their commitment and expertise. We are deeply grateful for the sacrifices, hard work, and wisdom they impart to our students within the facility.

To all of our faculty and staff: we thank you, we honor you, and we celebrate the profound impact you have every day.
