🏐 What a GREAT start to the season for our 7th Grade Volleyball teams! 🏐
The girls battled hard all night and showed fierce determination from the first point to the last! One of the best parts of the night was watching them improve with every point played. As the night went on, their communication got stronger, they trusted one another more, and their energy and confidence continued to grow.
⭐ A1 came away with a win over Knoxville in two sets! The girls worked through learning and running a new 6–2 rotation and did a great job leaning on one another as they adjusted throughout the match. Paisley Doud, Willow Hahn-Lefler, and Alivia Johnson each recorded two kills, while Alizah VanWyk added one. Setters Emilia Stewart and Aubrey Vance worked hard to create offensive opportunities and delivered several great sets to their hitters. We saw exciting progress as the girls put together multiple pass-set-hit sequences and played more intentionally as a team. Their communication, trust, and willingness to work through something new helped them earn the win!
⭐ A2 also had a strong start, earning two wins over Knoxville! Addi Sille, Megan Lobe, Ava Kenney, Harper De De Bruin, Marlee Corbett, and Loryce Lammers all found success from the serving line, consistently getting their serves over, with most also recording an ace. As the matches progressed, the girls continued to gain confidence, communicate more, and bring more energy to the court. They also began putting together pass-set-hit sequences, showing great early progress in playing with purpose and working together.
⭐ B1 showed incredible fight and determination, battling back after a tough first set to earn an AMAZING comeback win! After falling 21-23, the girls responded with confidence and determination, winning the next two sets 21-12 and 15-13. Throughout the match, we saw the girls begin to communicate more consistently, encourage one another, and trust their teammates to make plays. They continued to make adjustments and fight for every ball, and their energy continued to build as the match went on. Their ability to stay together, work through adversity, and never give up was so impressive!
⭐ B2 also had a fantastic start, sweeping their first two sets 21-19 and 21-19! The girls showed great improvement as the match progressed, becoming more comfortable on the court and more confident in their communication. They did a great job encouraging one another, making adjustments, and working together to keep plays alive. We saw great hustle, stronger court awareness, and a willingness to step up and make plays for their teammates. Their ability to stay focused and battle through each point helped them finish both sets with exciting wins!
🎯 Our serving was AMAZING for our first game of the season! Aurora Carmer, Paisley Bennett, Gabby Larson, and Olivia Baines each finished with 6 aces! 👏🏼
So proud of ALL of these girls! They showed determination, teamwork, communication, confidence, and a willingness to learn and grow with every single point. There is so much to be excited about as we continue to build and improve together! Monday A1/A2 teams travel to PC and B1/B2 teams travel to Osky Christian for our first away game.
