Discover Flight, LLC Who We Are:

Discover Flight, LLC, exists specifically to preserve the dying era of grass roots aviation. Visit our website to learn more!

Discover Flight, LLC, is an Oshkosh, WI based flight school that provides comprehensive beginner through advanced flight training, specializing in tailwheel and aerobatics. Our founder was brought up flying in one of the country’s meccas of golden age pilot personalities, where flying wasn’t watered down, the airplanes were challenging, and the passion was alive. He specifically is on a mission to spread that as far as possible, and we are here to help keep aviation great.

You might recognize this guy from a previous post where we shamed him, a future naval aviator, for never having watched Top Gun. Well here he is again, a brand new private pilot, still about to become a naval aviator, and he still hasn’t watched Top Gun. Congrats on becoming a private pilot, Collin! We’re all proud of you despite your lack of cinematic judgement. 😎 CFI: Frank Paul

Our student Jak got to fly with Jamie in a Sopwith Pup replica. An airplane with 360 horsepower that rolls around on Ford Model T tires feels a bit paradoxical!

JD has been on our radar for a few years now, first coming to us for a one time tailwheel lesson in his family Stinson 108 when he was just 13 years old. Now he’s all grown up (sort of), and just had his first solo in our RV12! We look forward to seeing him earn his private pilot certificate and doing a lot of Stinson flying with him in the future. Congrats, JD! CFI: Jon Eisele
