Please welcome our summer intern, Rhyanne M Foster here from Colorado. She’s with Grommet this morning. Check out Grommet’s eye brow, the boney structure above his eye is more pronounced than our local red tail hawks. Harris Hawks are found in the southwest region of the United States, Mexico, and as far south of parts of South America. This adaptation of the pronounced brow line serves Harris hawks like a visor on a baseball cap shielding the eye from the bright sun.
