Social workers are also concerned with the community or setting in which people spend their daily lives. The BSW has been fully accredited since 1975.

We teach students to willingly accept the professional responsibility to act as the “heart and conscience” of the profession, and to advocate on behalf of those who suffer discrimination and oppression.
