Stop your scrolling! School Head shot minis LAST CALL! Today from 3:30pm-5pm is our retake day and also last day to bring your kiddos in for school head shots. I will not be offering another day of these, however, if you are still looking to have them done this year, we can absolutely fit them into one of the Christmas mini sessions, should you choose to book one of those. 💜Remembering Mesa 💜

This session has been in the plans for months now. Every year, we try to think of a new way to memorialize this amazing girl, and this was the idea for the year. Knowing how incredibly well-documented Mesa's life was, I asked Jen if she minded printing out a whole lot of photos to put on the wall. She immediately said yes, and got to work.

My daughter, Elise, and her close friend Emi, are Mesa's best friends. They are in easily more than half of these photos. Putting them on the wall and re-living tons of the memories and laughs was healing in a lot of ways. We made bets on when Emi's mom, Jeanna, would burst into tears when she came in to help. It did eventually happen.

Mesa's passing encouraged rethinking a lot of things. One of them was to start saying yes to more experiences. Making more time for the kids, booking the concert tickets, taking photos of small moments that I normally wouldn't whip the camera out for.

Today, I want you to set the devices down, go hug your kids, and take ALL of the photos. Make memories. Prioritize family time. Spend as much time with them as possible. Document the laughs, the hobbies, and even the small things, like what they eat for breakfast, their favorite toys, the letters they write you. Love on them, and document like crazy. Most of all, be sure to live life like Mesa did...Full of love, smiles and cartwheels!

Always trust the process. Super hard to do when everything feels like a dusty mess for months on end, you have to wait months for some projects and then other ideas you have fly out the window, either due to cost, or due to someone else's poor decision making, decades prior to you owning the building. Either way, we are so excited with how this property has come together and within the next couple of weeks, we should be able to wrap up most of the major projects downstairs as well. Finishing touches, adding in more props and equipment and eventually updating the bathrooms will come with time. Thanks for following along. 🖤

Photographing senior boys comes with challenges. My most common call with mom is "he is just doing this for me. He really doesn't care about photos."

That is literally most senior boys, however, I am super grateful for the ones who want a full blown session
