The tradition continues! Geology at UW Oshkosh has been going strong since 1934! Dr. Paulsen is meeting tomorrow with students to organize the 2025 UW Oshkosh Geology Field Camp course. This has been a tradition since 1967! Field Camp with T.S. Laudon (1967-1999)

Join us Saturday, Oct. 19, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a Geology Homecoming-Open House at Harrington Hall and see photos from 1967 to 2024.

Last week, the Structural Geology class had an amazing field trip to Lake Superior near Marquette, MI! ...and no one went in the water this time!

Many of the students will be going to the UWO field camp based in Utah this summer. They leave in less than 3 weeks!

The UW Oshkosh Geology Department offers an Earth Science Museum Studies course, internship, and certificate through the Weis Earth Science Museum. Dr. Joseph Frederickson, director of the Weis Museum, is on the faculty of the UWO Geology Department and teaches the course and directs the internships. Emma Mikolic just completed the course, internship, and certificate. As part of her internship, Emma made this great video.
