We display pictures and tell uplifting stories about passionate volunteers supported by professional staff guidance and agen

Thank you Govani Dental for your generous donation to our organization. It is because of your support that we are able to provide adult literacy services to our members of our community. Thank you so much💗

Our giving campaign is featuring our friends at Winnebago Area Literacy Council!

Happy International Day of Friendship to all of our WALC friends!

Today gives us the perfect opportunity to share an incredible story—also featured in our published book Reading Between the Lines—from one of our extraordinary tutors, Susan McInnis. Susan became a volunteer tutor after retiring from her career in healthcare administration. Although she was a bit nervous, having never taught before, she soon discovered her love for teaching.

She has now been a one‑on‑one tutor for two of our learners, Ana and Ghada, and has not only helped them achieve their literacy goals, but has also sparked a wonderful exchange of cultures, traditions, and most importantly, friendship.

Today, we want to highlight the strong relationships WALC has built between our learners, volunteers, and staff. A huge thank‑you to the WALC family for making these connections possible!

In addition, we invite you to stop , at The Tardigrade's Bookshelf on Aug. 21st, 4–6 PM for our upcoming book launch and panel discussion, where stories like these are shared. See details by clicking the link below. Thank you, Humans of Oshkosh, for making this publication possible! ☺️📖

Hi everyone, with the recent news of the destructive tornado affecting both the Fox Valley and Winnebago area, we want to express our sincere condolences and support to the members of our community who have been impacted 💗.

In response, we are sharing resources individuals can access, including this one from the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation. We also have a Community Resource Room at our office in case anyone is in need of emergency clothes, shoes, or canned food. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

In response to the July 27, 2026, tornado that devastated communities in the tri-county region of Winnebago, Calumet, and Outagamie counties, the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation along with the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region and United Way Fox Cities have activated the 2026 Tornado Relief Fund.

Together, we are working to move resources responsibly to support the nonprofits and community organizations at the center of the tornado relief and recovery efforts.

Harvesting smiles from our young friends in the GROW Program!
We wanted to share some of the vegetables we’ve already been able to pick from our community garden, including Turkish and African eggplant, peppers, broccoli, several kinds of squash, and basil — all of which have been distributed to the families of our learners.

Thank you to everyone who has shown support both in and out of the garden. It’s because of you that programs like this are possible. 🌱❤️
