Teen Money students Madelyn Albrecht and Adriana Trapp participated in a semester-long stock market simulation with 140 other 8th-grade students. Students were given $15,000 to invest in three stocks of their choice, and they tracked the growth and losses over the entire semester. Mady and Adri invested in shares of Samsung, Microsoft, and Google for four months. They were able to increase their portfolio value by $7,104! An incredible accomplishment in a short time! They learned that their portfolio value will fluctuate regularly, that TIME will have a large impact on their investment, and that Samsung's investment in AI chips was a big win for their stock value! Congratulations girls! You are hired!

On Thursday, our Leadership class celebrated a successful semester with a field trip to Altitude Trampoline Park and Pizza Ranch!
Throughout the semester, students worked hard to develop important skills such as social problem-solving, critical thinking, communication, relationship-building, and leadership. These skills helped students create more inclusive practices and activities that support and engage all students in our school community.
The field trip was a well-deserved opportunity to celebrate their growth, teamwork, and dedication. We are proud of the positive impact these student leaders have made and look forward to seeing them continue to foster inclusion and leadership throughout our schools!
