Each Wednesday of second semester we will be highlighting amazing Capstone Projects! Senior students who have gone through the complete Global Academy experience (all 4 years of their high school careers) put a lot of thoughtful time and effort into these projects which included 20+ hours of hard work and a notable GLocal impact on the Oshkosh community and beyond! 💙💚

Congrats to Global Academy students, Anna Thiemke and Kerrigan Kimball, on their impressive accomplishments at a recent SkillsUSA competition! Global Academy students are involved in many diverse extracurricular activities, and they are accomplishing wonderful things both inside and outside of the classroom! 🌏

AP test season is around the corner! Mr. Lewis is hosting lively before- and after-school review sessions for students opting in for the AP Human Geography test. Global Academy offers opportunities for advanced college credit through AP and CAPP classes.

Check out the impressive athletic accomplishments by Academy alumni, Paige Seckar and Olivia Navin!

Paige is a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and was named the 2026 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Women’s Basketball Player of the Year!

Olivia is a sophomore at UW La Crosse and a part of the Women’s Track and Field team that recently won their 6th straight WIAC championship. She is also a hurdler on the #1 ranked D3 team in the country!

Global Academy Alumni Alert!

Hannah Chung, 2023 graduate of Oshkosh West and the Global Academy program, was the star of last night's mission moment at the school board meeting. She shared how her experiences at West, including her time in the Global Academy, helped prepare her for the success she has found as a 3rd year student at MIT and co-founder/CEO of an AI startup. She cited project based learning and community involvement as key components in setting her apart from her peers and providing her with opportunities to excel. Congrats on all your awesome accomplishments, Hannah!

A big GRACIAS to Representative Lori Palmeri who spoke with the students of Level 3 today about her life and experiences (and her connection to the Spanish-speaking world). She shared a strong message about dedication and perseverance in addition to how students can represent their values and make a difference by caring for their community. 🌎
