Mr. Stellpflug‘s passion for history sure isn’t confined to his classroom walls! Here he is marching in the Omro Fourth of July parade as George Washington reciting the Declaration of Independence. Looking great, Mr. Stellpflug!

Some Wisconson Military History today!

Today, Sgt Mattice and Sgt Rocheleau from the Wisconsin Army National Guard, Oshkosh visited the classroom of Mrs. Moss for Area Studies of Wisconsin. They shared the history of the 32nd Red Arrow Division of the Wisconsin Army National Guard. The day before, Mrs. Moss discussed the army tank and red arrow in Red Arrow Park right across the road from Oshkosh West. The monument is in honor of the 32nd Red Arrow Division which had a successful campaign in WWII. Students also viewed a video of the WWII battle of Ghost Mountain in New Guinea fought by the 32nd Red Arrow Division.

Sgts Mattice and Rocheleau also shared how members of the Wisconsin Army National Guard serve under Governor Evers. Members help out in crisis situations in Wisconsin. Information was shared how students that are entering the workforce or attending college can be part of the Wisconsin Army National Guard. The sergeants passed out handouts and shared valuable information on careers in the Wisconsin Army National Guard.
