Thursday night, FFA members got together for the annual Back to School Social! Students worked on the float for the upcoming Labor Day Parade, ate some delicious food, and caught up with their friends to prepare for the year! This past Sunday, members of the Osceola FFA Chapter took time out from their summer activities to help serve at the Beef House at the Missouri State Fair with members of the St Clair County Cattlemens! These students cooked, prepped, and served many dishes to a consistantly packed house of customers! We are thankful for their continued focus on service to others!

Osceola has had a BUSY MO State Fair. Our officer team designed and built an educational display that is set up in the FFA building, we had members exhibit entries and receive gold/silver, we worked the Beef House, and Claire Salmon along with Area 7 officers volunteered for a day of work in the FFA building. We already posted about the Lamb Cook Off-- what a year of experiencing the fair to the fullest. 👍

Congratulations to the first ever GRAND CHAMPION Lamb BBQ Contest at the Missouri State Fair!! These girls stepped out of the norm and tried cooking an unfamiliar protein in a brand new contest! We are so proud of them and their accomplishments!! Kamie Hooper placed 1st in the Lamb Burger and 2nd in the Lamb Chops division. Cheyenne Russell placed 2nd in the leg of Lamb division. Great job to these ladies for taking on the heat and the competition at the Mo State Fair Lamb BBQ Contest!!

Getting to talk with Blair Schubert about her SAE project was all about brainstorming. We do not always have a project in place during an SAE visit, sometimes we examine the space available, talk about investments, and hash out a plan for the future. Blair is working on her Eagle Scout project and will be very busy with that over the next 4 months. Good luck and keep thinking about your future 👍👍

Osceola FFA was well represented last night at the Optimist Banquet. We are so proud of Bella for being named students of YEAR!! She received a $500 scholarship for her efforts. Mr. Simpson was named Optimist member of the year. His heart for serving the youth in this community is unmatched. We are proud of you!!

By senior year, your SAE is so diverse it's hard to track down a specific day to visit. We caught up with these seniors who have lots of jobs, wear many hats, and are ready to get their last year of school started. It's always good to visit about goals for the year, applications to fill out, and opportunities they don't want to miss out on. It's actually the best part of the SAE visit when they can reflect on ALL they have accomplished since their first visit three summers ago 💪

Parker and Colton Evans have been mowing yards, helping on the family farm and odds and ends all summer long ☘️

Bailey Wheeler watches kids, has her own pet breeding business, helps on the farm, works at the sale barn, you name it she does it!🦙😸🏇🛖

Amber Walden is helping her mom get a cleaning business started while also completing classes for her CNA license. Her future career awaits! 🩺🥼💉

Brayden Renno has been helping his grandpa this summer. Brayden does the heavy lifting and movements, while grandpa answers questions and helps solve problems. This is such a great learning experience and another example how families are involved in SAEs. Great work Brayden 👍
