It’s been great to get back into the swing of teaching lessons! Something else fun I’ve been doing this fall is teaching a music lesson to some homeschool kiddos. My friend had the idea, as she’s homeschooling her kids and wanted them to have a music class in their weekly activities. It’s been fun to get to wear my teacher hat and help to instill a love of music in some preschool and kindergarten aged kids! We’re doing activities based on John Feierabend’s philosophy that children should be “tuneful, beatful, and artful.” If any of my Michiana area friends would like more information about time, location, price, etc, send me a message!

Maggie Youngblood Music Studio is back this fall and excited to be offering voice lessons for Michiana students! I hope to give your child comprehensive, one-on-one instruction in vocal technique, warmups, breathing, diction, sight reading/reading notation, performing, and connecting with a song. The goal is to have a studio recital in the spring with friends and family attending! All materials will be provided for your child, including copies/print offs at their request, digital documents like flashcards and recording links, and voice memos of any warmups that they would like to have available to them at home. I would love to help them get ready for events like school performances, auditions, ISSMA contest, and local musicals as well! Good news, parents and students! Mrs. Youngblood will be accepting lesson payments by debit/credit card via SquareUp in the next week or so! If you would prefer to pay this way (instead of cash/check), simply bring your card to lessons and we can process your payment via mobile phone! Alternately, I can send you an invoice via email if payment is forgotten or late. I hope this makes coordinating your finances and schedule as easy as possible!
