Osceola Public Library The Osceola Public Library provides many services to area patrons from books and movies to public computers, wireless internet and public programs.

The Osceola Public Library is filled with an abundance of materials including print material (books and magazines), audiobooks, puzzles, movies on DVD, newspaper subscriptions, public access computers, free wireless internet, online research databases, e-books, and so much more! We have a genealogy department as well as ancestry.com and digitized newspapers. The Children's Library department offers a Winter Story Hour (October-April) and a Summer Reading Program (June and July).

The Osceola Public Library checks out more than just books. For example, in our “Library of Things”, people can check out:

Puzzles 🧩
Board Games ♟️
STEAM Kits
Memory/Caregiver Kit
Cake Pans 🎂
Internet Hotspots 🛜
Ukuleles
DVD’s 💿
Audiobooks 📕

In the near future we are going to be adding more “things” that can be checked out that might be useful to our patrons. Some of the items we are considering adding to our collection are: power drill, screwdriver set, watt meter, tape measure, and a blood pressure monitor.

What a GREAT 🤩 afternoon out at East Lake Park celebrating our 4 grand prize 🏆 winners of the 2026 Summer Reading Program! 📖 The Osceola Masonic Lodge awarded Maislee Catron & Tate Browne each with a bike 🚲 & new helmet ⛑️ for being the boy and girl grand prize winners, while they received a variety of other local goodies from the library! Our Teen Winner was Collins Readout with a $50 Amazon card, Nutrition Hub drink cards, a Teen writing prompt journal, and other local gift cards from the library! Every summer we have an optional bonus activity for kids/families to participate in that goes above & beyond the usual reading log to help promote community & family engagement. This year 7 kids completed the bonus activity and our winner 🥇 was Dawson Offield 🙌🏻. Great job to everyone who participated this summer in every capacity 🥰. We hope you enjoyed having pizza 🍕 & cookies 🍪 with us!

The Summer Reading Program 2026 winners reveal & award celebration 🥳 is @ Noon! Any child who completed & turned in at least 1 reading log this summer is eligible to attend! We had a total of 83 kids participate this year! Total minutes read this summer was 52,620 minutes! We are SO proud of all of you! We have a Teen Grand Prize Winner, a Girl Grand Prize Winner, a Boy Grand Prize Winner & a Bonus Activity Prize Winner that will be revealed and awarded at the beginning of our celebration at NOON @ East Lake! Casey's pizza, bottled water, and cookies will be provided.

**To sign up or register for an event, you can do one of the following: call (641-342-2237), email ([email protected]), Facebook message, or stop by the library in person.**All of our events & programs are FREE unless stated otherwise & if an event does have a fee, that fee is due within 24hrs of registration or your spot will be revoked.
