Southwestern Community College’s Business & Community Development team is pleased to offer a 32-hour Electrical Theory & Technology training program designed to build practical, job-ready electrical skills for today’s industrial and maintenance workforce. A few spots remain for this upcoming class.



This hands-on training combines online learning, classroom instruction, and lab experience, giving participants a well-rounded understanding they can apply immediately on the job.

Reading electrical drawings, symbols, and schematics

SWCC Business & Community Development is offering an eight week Electrical Theory & Technology training program this summer at the ORBIT Center in Osceola during the months of July & August. This program is designed to help build foundational electrical skills for today’s industrial, commercial, and institutional environments.



This course follows a hybrid format, combining online learning, classroom instruction, and hands-on lab experience - giving participants, practical, job-ready skills they can apply immediately. Training topics include wiring fundamentals, electrical code, conduit bending, conductor sizing, circuit basics, and motor theory.



This program is ideal for:

Entry-level technicians
Maintenance staff
Employees needing foundational electrical knowledge

Our Clinical Medical Assistant program prepares you to work confidently in medical offices, clinics, and other healthcare settings. You’ll gain hands-on skills in:

✔️ Vital signs
✔️ Phlebotomy & specimen collection
✔️ 12-lead EKG
✔️ Preparing patients for exams & treatments
✔️ Collecting and documenting patient data

Students who complete this comprehensive program will be eligible to sit for the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified Clinical Medical Assistant national certification exam.
