🌾 Farmland Leasing Workshop Recap! 🌾

We had a great group join us at the Mitchell County Extension office for our annual Farmland Leasing Workshop! We were excited to partner with ISU Extension and Outreach Floyd County and our Farm Management Specialist, Eric Weuve to bring this valuable opportunity to area landowners, tenants, and Ag professionals.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for good conversations, helpful information, and a chance to stay up to date on farmland leasing trends and considerations. We appreciate the opportunity to partner with our neighboring county and serve agriculture across the area! 🤝🌱

We are so proud of all the kids who represented Mitchell County with projects at the State Fair! Projects that showcased creativity, artistic talent, thoughtful planning, problem-solving, engineering, and a whole lot of hard work.

From projects that required an artistic eye, to creations that challenged them to think like an engineer, to thoughtful projects that reflected time, research, and personal growth—each one showed a tremendous amount of hardwork and dedication ❤️

These kids designed, created, tested, changed, problem-solved, and kept going until they were proud of what they had accomplished.

The ribbons and results should ALWAYS make them feel proud. The real win though, is seeing these young people grow in confidence, creativity, and the ability to take an idea and turn it into something real. 👏

Congratulations to every kid who made it to the State Fair! You should be incredibly proud of yourselves!!🍀💛

Fair may be wrapping up, but your 4-H projects aren’t quite done yet!🍀

Don’t forget — 4-H Record Books are due Monday, September 14!

Now’s the perfect time to wrap up those projects by reflecting on what you learned, what you accomplished, and all the fun you had along the way! 💚

📌 4th–6th Grade: Record Books are due to your club leader.
📌 7th–12th Grade: Record Books are due to the Extension Office.

New 4-H member? If you need a record book, stop by the Extension Office and we’ll have one ready for you!
