Twenty-five years later, we remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001, and we honor the courage and sacrifice of the first responders, military members, public servants, and ordinary citizens who stepped forward in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

As a school community, we have a responsibility to ensure that future generations understand the significance of September 11. Not only as a moment in our nation’s history, but as a reminder of the power of courage, service, compassion, resilience, and unity.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are pleased to announce that each Blue Mountain School District building now has a dedicated email address for submitting student absence notes and attendance documentation.

Please send absence notes directly to the appropriate building by 9:00 AM:
• Blue Mountain High School: [email protected]
• Blue Mountain Middle School: [email protected]
• Blue Mountain Elementary East: [email protected]
• Blue Mountain Elementary West: [email protected]

When submitting an absence, tardy, or early dismissal note, please include:
• Student’s first and last name
• Grade level
• Date(s) of the absence
• Reason for the absence
• Parent/Guardian name

If the absence is medical, please attach a photo or electronic copy of the doctor’s or medical provider’s note.

Parents and guardians may continue to send written absence notes to school with their student as they have in the past. The new email option provides an additional convenient way to submit documentation.

This is what Friday night football should look like!

The Blue Mountain Eagles student section showed up in full force Friday night, bringing energy, noise and school spirit to the stands.

We see Schuylkill County’s student sections pack Martz Hall and create an incredible atmosphere during basketball season. Let’s bring that same excitement to football fields across the county every Friday night.

Students, rally your classmates, wear your school colors and get loud for your team. Let’s see every Schuylkill County school fill its student section this fall!
