Brandon Early Childhood Center High Quality Preschool and Early Childhood Special Education Services Brandon School District offers several options for early childhood learning!

Preschool Academy
-Tuition Based Program
-Full day and half day available, 1-5 days per week
-Before and after school care may be available
-Research based curriculum, High Scope, that includes health, safety, literacy, and social development
-All Lead teachers have a Michigan Teacher Certificate endorsed in Early Childhood Development and at least one is certified in Special Education
-Children o

f all abilities can participate in this program
-Ages 2 years 9 months- 5 years old (by December of the enrolling year)
-Field Trips
-MDHHS Child Care Assistance Payments accepted

Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP)
-Free or very low cost preschool program funded by the State of Michigan
-Children must be 4 years old by December of the enrolling year
-Children of all abilities can participate
-Lead teachers have a Michigan Teacher Certificate endorsed in Early Childhood Development
-Low adult to child ratio
-Program operates 4 days per week, Monday - Thursday
-Snacks and lunch are provided
-Home visiting is required
-Research based curriculum, High Scope, that includes health, safety, literacy, and social development
-Field Trips

How do I qualify for GSRP?
-Must be a resident of Oakland county
-Must be four, but not five on or before December 1st of the enrolling year
-Documentation of qualifying factors (low income included)


Early Childhood Special Education Services

-Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) services are available to provide support to families and their children ages birth to five who are developing slowly in one or more areas.

-Instruction takes place in a setting with typically developing peers whenever possible.

-Areas of development include:
-Social Skills
-Gross and Fine Motor
-Cognitive
-Adaptive
-Language

Available Services: Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech-Language Services

Join us tomorrow from 4:30–8:00 PM (Thursday, February 19, 2026) for the Brandon Showcase. This is a one-stop opportunity to explore our schools, meet our incredible staff, and discover the outstanding programs available to your students.

📢 Engaging presentations from each of our schools
📢 Opportunities to connect with teachers and administrators
📢 On-site student enrollment for families ready to join the Brandon community

👩‍🏫 Harvey-Swanson & Oakwood: 5:15–5:45 PM
👨‍🏫 Brandon Middle School: 6:00–6:30 PM
👩‍🏫 Brandon High School: 6:45–7:15 PM

📌 Ready to Enroll? New families can register students on-site by bringing the following:
✅ Birth certificate
✅ Immunization records
✅ Driver’s license
✅ Lease agreement (if renting) or mortgage statement (if owning)
✅ Current utility bill
✅ Health appraisal, vision screening, and dental screening (Kindergarten only)
✅ Transcript (Grades 10–12 only)

We are excited to invite everyone to the Brandon Showcase! This is an opportunity to learn more about what the Brandon School District has to offer throughout your child's entire educational journey! While each school will have a presentation, the rest of the time will be open house style where you can meet with the different schools, clubs, and athletic teams. Dinner is provided at this event.
