🟥⬛ CHARACTER IN ACTION: ORRVILLE RED RIDERS ⬛🟥

At the Orrville Police Department, we believe some of the most meaningful acts of kindness happen when no one is watching.

Through the Orrville High School SRO recognition program, SRO McCumbers recognizes students who demonstrate good character, compassion, and kindness toward others.

Recently, a parent approached SRO McCumbers at an Orrville football game to share an outstanding example of student leadership.

Josiah “Jo Jo” Kleine, along with Walker Fairchild and a group of classmates, stepped up to support a fellow student who needed a little extra help. Through their kindness and teamwork, they helped make sure their classmate could participate alongside their peers.

Jo Jo was presented with his letter of recognition for this terrific example of compassion and leadership. Walker will receive his letter of recognition in the near future.

To Jo Jo, Walker, and the classmates who helped: Thank you for representing Orrville High School and our community so well.

Choose kindness. Choose compassion. Look out for one another.

We never truly know what someone else may be going through. A small act of kindness can mean more than you will ever realize.
