The Spring Has Sprung Hook-In and Workshops Event on April 22-23, 2023 is filling up! Only 2 Workshops have spots left. There is still space in the Proddy class and the Alternative Materials class. There is also space in the Hook-In on Sunday April 23rd, 2023. We started in 2015 with just a hook-in and added workshops in 2018. Covid messed things up for a couple of years but it's been a lot of fun and we hope you come join the fun!

Spots are still available for the Spring Has Sprung Hook-In and Workshops. Come join the fun. "Spring" (in 2 sizes), "Underwater Treasures" and other patterns available for the Alternative Materials class or you can bring your own. The Proddy class has a choice of doing a small rug or mat. The Post Impressionistic class also has a couple of choices. The Beginner Punchneedle class is full and has a waiting list.

Linda is working hard on her squirrel and will be a pro after she finishes all 4 of them. Ruth is making beautiful sunflowers with a wide cut and once again Empress Josephine feels that she needs to steal the show. She isn't really supposed to be on the table but who can resist that face.😸

Took a break from Facebook for a while but now it's time to get back into sharing class photos. Joan is working on "Forest Raven" designed by Jane McGown Flynn and it is coming out great. After I was finished showing a bunch of patterns, Empress Josephine decided that it would make a great place to sleep. She was not happy when I packed them up to leave. Kayleen's landscape is taking shape and should be done shortly. Athena decided she needed to check out Kristina's "Butterfly Panel", designed by Pearl McGown and Jane McGown Flynn. The cats are really getting involved in classes!

We had 29 rugs in the rug display at the Spring Has Sprung Hook-In on Sunday. The LRC game had 20 people playing and several others watching. It is always nice to be the one who wins all the wool. She ended up sharing the winnings with her neighbors. Rug hookers are generous people.

Here are some photos of the other classes. Judith Hotchkiss did a Rug Punching Landscape class, Nancy Jewett did a class on Color Planning, and Toni Philbrick did an Appliqué class . There were 53 students in the 4 classes. Thank you to the teachers who did a great job and took extra students when a class had to be cancelled!

My Fine Shaded Landscape class at the Spring Has Sprung Workshops was a lot of fun. Everyone had a great time working on their trees I hope to see some of them come back next year finished. I brought a box of noodles for people to go through if they wanted to. The day passed quickly!

I have been so busy getting ready for the Spring has Sprung Workshops & Hook-In that I haven't posted any pictures of classes lately, so here are a bunch. Empress Josephine always likes to make sure she is in the thick of things. The piece of wool she is looking at so intently is one she stole while we were gathering wool for Mary's landscape. There are lots of great rugs being worked on and classes are going well. I will try to remember to get photos of the event this weekend and get them posted in a timely fashion.

If you could see these right side up, they look great. Not sure how they got turned and can't seem to get them right side up.😡 These are the choices for the Landscape Rug Punching class with Judith Hotchkiss at the Spring Has Sprung Workshop on April 27th. One is done with bulky yarn and the other is done with fine yarn. Looks like that is going to be a fun class.
