Who are you developing besides yourself?
That question led us into a GREAT conversation during this month's Leader Advantage Circle Group Coaching call.
We talked about time management. Delegation. Succession planning. Navigating change. Stretching employees beyond what they already know. Learning from experts when we're the ones who need to grow.
But one idea kept connecting everything:
Great leaders don't just develop themselves. They intentionally develop the people around them.
Sometimes that means giving someone a project that's slightly outside their comfort zone—and coaching instead of rescuing.
Sometimes it means delegating something you could do faster yourself because someone else needs the opportunity to learn.
Sometimes it's modeling the calm, curiosity or communication you want your future leaders to demonstrate.
And sometimes it's sitting down with someone and asking:
Where are you now?
Where do you want to go?
And how can I help you get there?
THIS is why I love the group coaching piece of the Leader Advantage Circle.
It's not another leadership webinar where you listen for an hour and go back to work.
Leaders bring the real stuff they're dealing with right now. We talk it through together, learn from one another, and leave with practical ideas we can actually use.
Because leadership development shouldn't happen in isolation.
The Leader Advantage Circle gives leaders a place to keep learning, practicing, asking questions and growing—together.
