Day 1 of the Veterans Summit is underway! Great conversations, valuable training, and a room full of people dedicated to student veteran success. And we're only at lunch, more to come this afternoon.

A special thank you to the Ridge Quilters' Guild for honoring our very own Troy with a patriotic quilt.

We are SO proud of Yakoo, our former student assistant on completing the Respiratory Therapy Program 🎊 We saw firsthand the long hours he and his classmates put in studying right here in our center, and watching that dedication pay off is the best feeling.

Last year, we lost Don Powell, a valued member of our veteran community, but the encouragement and support he gave to others still lives on.

Sergio, a Butte College alumnus who recently graduated from Chico State, stopped by with a hard hat for us to sign before giving it to Don's wife. He shared that Don played a big role in motivating him to continue his education and earn his bachelor's degree in construction management.

A reminder that the impact we have on each other matters. ❤️
