The Sierra modernization project is well underway, and today marked a significant milestone as new classrooms began to be put in place.
When complete, the project will include seven new primary classrooms, two dedicated TK classrooms, a new TK/K playground, and a new primary playground. It will also bring a new student drop-off area, additional parking, and a much-improved bus drop-off lane.
These upgrades continue Thermalito's ongoing investment in safe, modern, and welcoming learning spaces for our students and community.

Construction continued today at Sierra Avenue Elementary.
Crews poured 252 cubic yards for the footings of nine brand new classrooms. The classrooms will arrive from Enviroplex Modular in mid-June and will be ready for students at the start of the 2026-27 school year.
This is an exciting step forward for Sierra. We look forward to welcoming students, staff, families, and our community onto an improved campus soon!

It was a great day at the Cami Anderson Memorial Track Meet at Harrison Stadium.
This event gave more than 800 Butte County students with special needs the opportunity to compete, participate, and enjoy the day. It continues to be one of the most meaningful events of the year.
The Butte County Office of Education did an outstanding job organizing a well-run meet that moved smoothly from start to finish.
Thank you on behalf of Thermalito’s students and staff.
