Here are some upcoming tournaments in the Reno and Boise areas for those who would like to compete!

🥋 November 7 – SuperHero Kids Boise 2 – Nampa, ID

🥋 November 21 – United Grappling – Reno, NV

🥋 December 12 – Grappling Industries – Boise, ID

🥋 December 19 – SuperHero Kids – Reno, NV

The November 7th date is a little closer than I’d like, but it is a kids-only tournament, so it could be a great start for any of the kids wanting to compete.

The December 19th tournament will most likely be after our last day of class, since I don’t want to interfere with any Christmas programs that may be scheduled. But if anyone is interested in competing, I’m sure we can find a way to make it work.

After the first couple days of class, if your child is interested in competing, just let me know!

I’ll add the registration links and more information for each tournament in the comments.

Good morning, everyone! I have some good news and some bad news.

The bad news is that there won’t be class again this week. The good news is that classes will resume at the Orovada Community Hall on Monday, September 21!

We’ll return to our regular schedule on Mondays and Wednesdays:

• Ages 4–7: 4:30–5:15 p.m.
• Ages 8 and up: 5:15–6:15 p.m.

Mondays will be Gi classes, so students will need their uniforms. Wednesdays will be No-Gi, shorts or Gi pants with Tshirt or rashguard.

I’m looking forward to seeing everyone again! I’ll also be posting some upcoming tournament dates for those who would like to compete.

No class today. It seems I picked up a cold over Labor Day weekend, I know the last thing anyone wants is a sick kid so we’ll take this week off. Thanks for understanding!

I meant to post this over the weekend, but things got busy.

Starting this Wednesday at 5:00 PM, I’ll be holding jiu-jitsu class at the Kings River Community Hall. We’ll be meeting once a week on Wednesdays, and it will be one class for all ages.

To help keep everyone cool during the summer, classes will be No-Gi. Kids should wear Gi pants or athletic shorts along with a T-shirt or rash guard.

Any of our Orovada kids who would like to join are always more than welcome.
