Join us for a Start Summit on October 4th and 5th at UMaine Orono – and learn how to develop a startup and pitch it to a panel of judges in just one day! The theme of this Start Summit is protecting older adults from digital fraud. Participants will hear from a panel of experts in this field, learn startup basics, join teams, and ultimately create a novel way of solving this challenge. Members of the top two teams will win cash prizes of $500 and $200.

We are seeking an Programs & Events Assistant to join the Foster Center for Innovation (FCI) team for the 24/25 academic year!
The Foster Center is the hub of innovation programs and activities on campus, and our talent programs and students events are key components of that. This individual will play an important role in assisting in managing our talent programs, and the students events associated with the Foster Center.

Are you:
Organized, detail-oriented, driven, and responsible?
A grad student who would enjoy working with our team on implementing and organizing our talent programs and the student events associated with the Foster Center?
Someone with supervisory or mentoring experience?
Eager to work with students?

This position requires excellent written and verbal communications skills and strong organizational abilities. It also requires an ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment and the ability to handle multiple competing deadlines.
