Future Leaders Learning Center-Orofino FLLC-Orofino is a learning center focused on social skill development and community involvement.

Next December (2028), my lease is up at the current building I run the daycare out of. I will be looking for a new building. I do have the option to move spaces sooner if the right opportunity presents itself. The space has to have a kitchen, area to be a play room, at least a half bath, and preferably 2 separate rooms (1 for a nap room, and 1 for a school room). I know I still have time, however, I’m putting the feelers out now because we all know space in Orofino is very limited, and I have to pass 3 separate inspections on a new building before I can move spaces. Plus, I’ll need to save who knows how much for deposit.

Extra points if it’s in town so parents are not driving out of their way, and we can walk to the park/library/ ect.

If anyone knows of or learns of a space that is safe and accommodating for a daycare center, please keep me in mind.

I have some super exciting news. I HAVE HIRED A PRESCHOOL TEACHER. We will begin preschool classes tentatively the first full week of October. This teacher already has an enhanced background check on file so we just need to wait for the transfer through the state. I won’t be charging anything extra for daycare enrolled children. At this time we will not be enrolling “preschool only” students, but once we get our classes back in full swing we will adjust that.

Ms. Hannah is staying on as a summer program teacher. We are working on curriculum for a summer program. This will be available for school age children only.

We are still partnered with 4H and will hopefully have the ability to introduce more cloverbud classes, and introduce more children to the 4H program.

Our local public library will continue to visit once a month, offering fun crafts and igniting excitement to read.

I have made more connections with other organizations to bring fun activities, culture, and learning to the center. Although they are not solidified, I know it will happen. With our programs expanding this means I need a bigger building. If any parents hear of a suitable space to move the daycare, preferable in town. Please keep me in mind and send me that way. Once I find a bigger place, my current building will be up for rent.

I am so excited to bring these services back to Orofino. Please stay tuned for future updates.

Another appreciation post. This one goes to great daycare parents. At our daycare we always eat fresh, prepared daily meals. We don’t serve sugary sweets (unless special occasion), juices, or foods not conducive to learning. The types of foods we put in our body directly correlates to our behavior, sleep, and well-being.

But these are just eggs….. Nope, to me they are omega 3 packed food needed for healthy brain development and full tummies. This weekend I’m using these organic eggs to whip up protein packed breakfast banana muffins. YUM!
