IRHS families:

We wanted to make sure everyone has the information needed to join our award-winning marching band this fall. This is a very special year for our school as we celebrate the IRHS 25th anniversary, and the marching band will be a big part of bringing the celebratory spirit to our school!

IT IS NOT TOO LATE TO JOIN THE IRHS BAND!
Even if your student is 100% new, we have a spot for them, and within just a few weeks, they will be all caught up. We don't make cuts to our marching band based on skill level.

IRHS BAND CAMP 2026 @ IRHS:
Our marching band camp is this week, Monday 7/20 through Friday 7/24, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the IRHS Fine Arts building.

IRHS BAND CAMP 2026 @ IRHS:
Our band camp check-in is tonight, 7/19, in the IRHS Band room, anytime from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. I will be there to meet with families and answer any questions you or your student may have about band or band camp. If you can't make check-in, just reach out.

For band camp, we are inside the cool A/C all afternoon and evening, only going outside in the early morning to beat the heat! Our team of world-class marching band instructors has all performed with some of the top bands and marching ensembles throughout the country. The band staff's mentorship and instruction foster a fun, safe atmosphere where students of all skill levels can grow and thrive as performers!

One last special note about our marching band. If your child is in marching band all four years of high school, it fulfills their 1.0 unit P.E. requirement.
If your student is interested in band and would like more info, please reach out by either leaving a comment below or emailing me at [email protected]. Even if your student can only partially attend band camp or can't join us until the school year starts, please reach out!

We hope to see many of your students in band.

P.s. We have a particular need for a drumset student in our marching band's front ensemble percussion section. Our beautiful, professional-level marching band drumset is looking for a new person to rock out and jam with our band during our halftime show!

🌹 “Slow down, you crazy child
You’re so ambitious for a juvenile
But then if you’re so smart
Tell me why are you still so afraid?

Where’s the fire, what’s the hurry about?
You’d better cool it off before you burn it out
You’ve got so much to do
And only so many hours in a day…” 🌹
