If anyone is interested in private sewing lessons for their child, my rate is 35 an hour and custom scheduling available.
It does get reimbursed under some scholarships! No sewing machine nessessary, I can bring my machine and tools, you will need to supply the materials for the projects.

I figured I would offer up to my loyal followers first!

Currently I have 2 lessons for a 3 hr and a 2 hr lesson a week, and I probably want to max it out around 6 students. Let me know of there is any interest!

If tarantulas can’t see that well, how do they know they are mating with the correct species of tarantula?

The answer is: PHERAMONES!
Or you can call it a SPIDEY SENSE 🤠

As homeschoolers, we need to remember some if the core lessons! Its not just about math and writing, dont forget to teach fire safety, tornado safety, emergency response (like calling 911 or seeking a neighbor for help if something happens to mom or dad or babysitter) and how to stay calm and not panic, and age appropriate first aid.
Honestly a good deal of this is covered in scouting, if you don't join a scout troop you can still buy the book and go over those lessons with your child yourself you can even join as a lone scout and not be part of an official pack if there isnt one near you.

Girl used school fire safety training to escape burning home safely 🚒🏠

In Kenner, Louisiana, a quiet day turned frightening when a stove fire broke out inside a home. Five year old Cloe Woods did not panic. She remembered what she learned at school and acted fast. With smoke spreading, she guided her blind grandmother out of the house calmly. Her small size hid a huge amount of courage.

After helping her grandmother reach safety, Cloe made sure their dog was okay. Then she ran to nearby neighbors and asked them to call for help. She knew not to go back inside and stayed focused even while scared. Her quick thinking stopped a dangerous situation from becoming a tragedy.

The Kenner Fire Department praised Cloe for her bravery and awareness. Firefighters said her actions showed how important early safety lessons truly are. In a world full of noise, one simple school lesson saved lives...how many heroes are learning quietly in classrooms right now?

Moonpie is a male ball python, about 2 1/2 years old and about 3 feet in length!

Moonpie is a sweetheart, his morph is a banana pastel, a beautiful yellow color woth black specs. Moonpie is looking for a home, and the nest part? He comes a full set up.

Ball pythons make great reptile companions. They are chill, slow moving, and a decent thickness so you wont worry about loosing a tiny wiggly snake, but you also wont worry about him getting too big.
The care is easy, feed once a week, keep the water dish clean and remove the poo (one per week lol!)

He will eventually need a 40 gallon enclosure, but the 20 gallon he comes with will do alright for another year or so. He comes with a heat pad and a heat lamp, 2 hides and a water dish.

The only things you will need to pick up is bedding (paper towels work in the short term) a pair of tongs for feeding, and some frozen mice.

If you have any questions about Moonpie or ball python care, you know where to reach me!

🚌🍎 THE SUPERMARKET ON WHEELS: How Denmark’s Retired City Buses Are Saving Rural Seniors! 🇩🇰👵 The Heartwarming "Mobile Market" Revolution! ✨🛒

In the quiet, windswept rural stretches of Denmark, a familiar yellow flash is appearing on the horizon—but it’s not picking up commuters. 🚌💨 It’s the "Rullende Købmand" (The Rolling Grocer)! As local village shops have closed their doors over the last decade, elderly residents in remote areas were left stranded. But thanks to a brilliant sustainable initiative, retired city buses are being given a second life as high-tech, mobile grocery stores! 🏗️🥦

Led by social entrepreneurs and local transport authorities like Movia, these decommissioned buses have been gutted and refitted with refrigerators, shelving, and easy-access ramps. 🛠️❄️ For seniors like Ingrid, a 82-year-old living in a remote pocket of Zealand, the arrival of the bus isn't just about buying milk and fresh Danish pastries; it’s a vital social lifeline. 🥐☕ The bus drivers aren't just cashiers—they are trained to help carry bags to front doors and check in on residents who haven't shown up for their weekly shop. 🤝🛡️

Instead of the scrap heap, these sturdy vehicles are now navigating the narrow lanes of the Danish countryside, bringing everything from organic vegetables to household essentials directly to those who need them most. 🥕🏡 It’s a masterclass in "Circular Economy" and community care, proving that in Denmark, even a retired bus still has a lot of miles—and heart—left in it! 🌈🇩🇰🙌✨

For my snow bird followers, and if not, Share with your northern friends! Please remember you cannot test for rabies on a live animal! Rabies testing needs a sample of brain tissue. The animal is deceased before they ever get the results.

I'm a raccoon. You see me foraging at 2 PM in December. You panic. "Raccoons are nocturnal! Daytime raccoon = RABIES!"
You call animal control. They trap me. Test me. I'm euthanized.
I didn't have rabies. I was just cold.
WHY RACCOONS ARE ACTIVE DURING WINTER DAYS:
❄️ Night temps drop to 10-20°F — Too cold to safely forage (risk hypothermia)
❄️ Daytime = 35-45°F — Warmer, safer foraging window
❄️ Limited daylight hours — Must maximize feeding time before dark
❄️ Not true hibernators — We stay active all winter, need to eat daily
❄️ Food scarce in winter — Must forage longer hours to find enough calories

THE FACTS:
Raccoons are NOT strictly nocturnal (they're crepuscular + opportunistic)
Winter daytime activity is NORMAL survival behavior
Only 1 in 10,000 raccoons actually has rabies
Cold weather forces many nocturnal animals into daytime activity

ACTUAL SIGNS OF RABIES IN RACCOONS:
✗ Staggering, falling, paralysis
✗ Foaming at mouth, drooling excessively
✗ Unprovoked aggression toward humans
✗ Disorientation, walking in circles
✗ Self-mutilation

NORMAL WINTER RACCOON BEHAVIOR:
✓ Walking steadily, purposefully
✓ Foraging in trash, under bird feeders, near water
✓ Avoiding humans (running away when approached)
✓ Alert, responsive to surroundings
✓ Good body condition (fluffy winter coat)

Raccoons may have different behaviors in florida, but its important to remember that they are active at dawn and dusk, and some daytime activity is normal during any time of year. Its important to recognize and observe actual signs of rabies in any animal before making that call. 🤗
