The long and the short of it? Get the written over and done with so you can focus on flight training. It doesn’t go away by delaying it! That’s the plane ✈️ truth!

CFI training can be super humbling. You see things from a whole different perspective (and not just “from the right seat”)- memories of your own training can come back with a vengeance. It’s all part of the process of being the most understanding instructor you can be ✈️

Checkride nerves are real. You can study hard, know your stuff, and yet the moment you sit down with a DPE, it can feel like you know nothing. The fact is, if you got signed off for a checkride, you can’t be that bereft of knowledge and skill 😆 It’s really a matter of trusting yourself and spearheading through the anxieties. Sometimes questions will sound more confusing and complicated than they are through the lens of checkride anxiety. Just try to chill, take your time, and show off that knowledge! ✈️

Some things make more sense after you get into aviation- which is a great thing but also can leave you yelling at your TV or radio sometimes 😆 Nonetheless, we can’t toss on any amount of weight any where we please on a plane. After leaving the Earth’s plane, our plane has to be balanced in a way that keeps us afloat all the way to a nice landing ✈️

Once you earn that private pilot’s license, all you want to do is use it! It can be tough to balance that passion with life’s necessities though ✈️

Decisions, decisions! 😅 Ultimately it’s great to have move than exactly the 5 solo hours needed to meet the requirements for a private pilot license. If you’ve got the plane and can go out for a little while, it’s good to go for it! ✈️

It’s the life we chose! Experience in the air is key to getting that first flying job as a CPL holder. As long as you keep on keeping on, you’ll get closer to your goals ✈️
