What a fantastic Field Day we had at Academic Oasis!
Our students spent the day laughing, cheering, competing, and making memories with friends as they rotated through a variety of exciting activities. From basketball, soccer kicks, co****le, potato sack races, spoon races, and relay challenges to water balloon tosses, scavenger hunts, and our crowd-favorite sponge bucket race, there was never a dull moment!
The fun continued indoors with Pictionary, trivia games, and plenty of opportunities for teamwork and friendly competition. Of course, no Field Day would be complete without water balloons, Academic Oasis t-shirts, and a special visit from the Kona Ice truck!
At Academic Oasis, we believe learning and community go hand in hand, and Field Day is one of our favorite traditions because it gives students a chance to build friendships, practice teamwork, and simply enjoy being kids.
Thank you to our amazing teachers, staff, volunteers, and families who helped make this day such a success. We had an absolute blast!

Ms. Jordan’s ELA class brought literature to life today with an adorable and entertaining Tale of Desperaux Readers Theater performance!
The students had so much fun stepping into character, reading with expression, and acting out scenes from this beloved story. From dramatic voices to lots of laughter, the classroom was filled with creativity, confidence, and excitement for reading.
Readers theater is such a wonderful way to build fluency, comprehension, teamwork, and public speaking skills — and our students absolutely nailed it today. How cute and fun! 💛

Who says math can’t be FUN?
Ms. Susie’s math class put their perimeter and area skills to work by designing their very own theme parks! Students had a blast planning rides, mapping out attractions, and using real math concepts to calculate the space and layout of their parks.
From roller coasters to water slides, creativity was flowing while important geometry skills were being practiced in a hands-on and meaningful way. Learning comes alive when students can create, design, collaborate, and of course… have fun while doing it!

A huge thank you to Ms. Amber, Ben’s mom, for choosing to host our Summer Read-In event today!
She read a wonderful story to all of our students about a young girl and her lemonade stand, which was the perfect way to kick off a fun and cozy reading event. Afterwards, the students enjoyed delicious lemonade, fresh fruit, and yummy snacks together.
We are so grateful for families like Ms. Amber who take the time to create special memories and meaningful experiences for our students. Thank you again for your kindness, generosity, and support of our Academic Oasis community! 💛

🚨 We have a serious problem here at Academic Oasis… 🚨
Ms. Susie, Ms. Julie, and Ms. Jordan’s math classes have officially been caught having WAY too much fun while learning math… and honestly, that is so not allowed.
Students were busy solving problems, playing math games, using manipulatives, collaborating with classmates, racing through challenges, and actually SMILING during math class. Some were even laughing while working with geometric shapes, area, perimeter, and hands-on math challenges. The audacity!
At Academic Oasis, we believe learning should be engaging, hands-on, interactive, and full of joy — because when kids are excited, moving, talking, creating, and problem-solving, real learning happens. ❤️
We are so proud of our amazing teachers for creating classrooms where students feel confident, supported, and excited to learn every single day.
