In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, we would like to recognize Sharon Gerson at Lake Sybelia ES as an Exceptional Educator for her work with students with disabilities!

Ms. Gerson was nominated by a colleague who stated:

"All SLP's have worked really hard with me, I have never seen a harder working SLP than Sharon! She is tasked with so many formal reevaluations in a year-other SLP's would have quit by now! I know for a fact she takes it home with her and works on evaluations on the weekends. I would love for her to see that her hard work is appreciated."

In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, we would like to recognize Jodie Nelson at Lake Sybelia ES as an Exceptional Educator for her work with students with disabilities!

Ms. Nelson was nominated by a colleague who stated:

"Jodie is a great team player who has done amazing things for our students here. As the dhh team lead, she has embraced new staff and works hard everyday to see her kids make amazing gains! We are even working collaboratively with the assistive technology team for the first time ever in the state of FL to get our students interpreting accommodations for State Testing/unique accommodations."

In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, we would like to recognize Rosetta Oliver at Hungerford ES as an Exceptional Educator for her work with students with disabilities!

Ms. Oliver was nominated by a colleague who stated:

"Ms. Oliver works so hard every day to meet her students where they are at. She is the most EXCEPTIONAL ese teacher supporting our various students in 3 through grad 5. She knows her students so well and advocates for them. She has the most beautiful, warm and helpful demeanor in all of our meetings and forms wonderful bonds with our students, staff and families. She is a full dose of daily sunshine and positivity. We are better for being near her!!! :)"

In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, we would like to recognize Kindergarten teacher, Shamara Wright, at Hungerford ES as an Exceptional Educator for her work with students with disabilities!

Ms. Wright was nominated by a colleague who stated:

"Ms. Wright is supporting a student with high needs and worked to create a schedule so that this child can get the best of all of his teachers. She is flexible in her thinking and always willing to do what is best for even the most challenging students. We appreciate her so much!"

In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, we would like to recognize Gavin Baker at Ocoee ES as an Exceptional Educator for his work with students who are gifted!

Mr. Baker was nominated by a colleague who stated:

"Mr. Baker is an exceptional Gifted teacher. Our kiddos from our school travel to his school for Gifted services. Mr. Baker makes time in his schedule to help me with possible Plan B kiddos and as a result, our school's Gifted number has increased so much since I came to this school. I love working with him as his work ethic is awesome!"

In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, we would like to recognize Kimberly Coppola at Stone Lakes ES as an Exceptional Educator for her work with students with disabilities!

Ms. Coppola was nominated by a colleague who stated:

"Kim and her team go above and beyond to support Kindergarten and First Grade Students at Stone Lakes Elementary. Kim has created a classroom environment that promotes student learning as well as accommodates the variety of needs in her classroom. She promotes inclusion at the school and is able to effectively transition many of our students into the general education setting by providing the needed supports. Kim has also created season Break areas for her students to enjoy during regulation breaks. She truly is an inspiration as a teacher!"

Young Explorers - Victory Martial Arts 🥋✨ Join us for our Young Explorers March meet-up (Young Explorers is for members in 1st through 6th grade). We will be at Victory Martial Arts in Oviedo on Saturday, May 9th at 1:30 pm. Siblings are welcome! 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Young Explorer meetups are for the whole family, we invite you to have fun and meet new families 💙
