It is our tremendous honor to announce and celebrate Discovery Middle School’s 2026–2027 honorees:

-Teacher of the Year: Rachel Peterson, Civics Teacher

-Support Person of the Year: Tammy Rudolph, School Secretary

Mrs. Peterson exemplifies the very best of teaching at Discovery. Through her passion for civics, dedication to student learning, and commitment to helping young people understand their voices and responsibilities, she creates meaningful experiences that extend far beyond the classroom. Her high expectations, strong relationships, and belief in every student make her an extraordinary educator and a deserving representative of our instructional staff.

Mrs. Rudolph is an essential part of the heart and daily operation of Discovery Middle School. As our school secretary, she supports students, families, staff members, and administrators with professionalism, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to our school. Her ability to solve problems, care for others, and keep our campus moving forward makes a difference each and every day.

Mrs. Peterson and Mrs. Rudolph embody the values of our Discovery community and demonstrate what it means to put relationships first, uplift others, and normalize hard work. Their service strengthens our school, and we are incredibly fortunate to have them on our team.
