FAST Testing has commenced! This flyer includes corrected dates.

We’re kicking off the school year with our beginning-of-the-year FAST assessments! These assessments help our teachers better understand each student’s strengths and areas for growth so we can provide the support they need to have a successful school year.

Families, please take a moment to review the flyer for important FAST/STAR testing dates for each grade level. Be sure to mark your calendars and help your Dragon come ready to show what they know!

Please join us in congratulating our Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Hoover, and our Support Person of the Year, Mrs. Priebe!

Mrs. Hoover works tirelessly to help our ESE Dragons soar, creating learning experiences that are both fun and rigorous while helping every student succeed in the classroom.

Mrs. Priebe, our amazing school secretary, is the heart of our Castle! She makes sure every faculty and staff member feels welcomed, supported, and happy each day.

We are SO lucky to have these two incredible ladies on our team! Thank you, Mrs. Hoover and Mrs. Priebe, for all you do to make our Castle a magical place to learn and grow!

Our 5th Grade Dragons put their science skills to the test with the Tessie Ball Challenge!

Students investigated whether changing the cement surface to tile or carpet would make a tennis ball bounce higher. They made predictions, tested their ideas, collected data, and let the evidence do the talking!

Way to go, Dragons, for bouncing your way into some awesome scientific thinking!

Mrs. Welsh’s class is learning all about partner talk during these first few days of school! Students are practicing how to listen to a friend, share their ideas, ask questions, and build on each other’s thinking.

Partner talk is such an important part of elementary learning—it helps students build confidence, strengthen communication skills, learn from one another, and discover that their ideas matter.

Our fourth graders had an exciting week putting their scientist skills to the test as they completed their very first science experiment! 🧪👩‍🔬👨‍🔬

From asking questions and making predictions to observing, testing, and discovering, our students were learning by doing—and having a blast along the way!

We love seeing our young scientists get curious, think critically, and explore the world around them.

Experiences like these help keep STEM learning alive in our schools and inspire students to imagine, create, and discover what’s possible!
