Hello 4th and 5th Grade parents! I would like to specially announce that the rumors are true...RECORDERS ARE BACK AT METROWEST! Our 4th and 5th graders will be gradually learning recorders during music class and I couldn't be more excited. I have attached a parent letter in this post that gives specific instructions on how to purchase a recorder for your child. Once you purchase a recorder...ITS YOURS! When purchasing a recorder there is also the option to buy a Recorder Express book. I highly recommend it as it will be used in class and students will be able to practice at home as well.

Hello 4th and 5th Grade Parents!!!

I'm so excited to see all of your children's smiling faces. I'm proud of what our students have to offer this school year! With that being said, I would like to announce that we will have an afternoon music ensemble for our 4th and 5th graders this year. It will include singing, instruments, movement, and more. Rehearsals will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-4:30. If you are interested, please make sure to purchase a school uniform as it will be mandatory on performance days. If you are interested in joining the "Orcastra" please sign up! FIRST REHEARSAL WILL BE ON SEPTEMBER 8TH!

🚌💙 Riding the bus this school year? Be sure to check your child’s bus information before the first day of school!

📌 Important reminder for the first day: If your child will be riding the bus home from school, they must ride the bus to school that morning. If a parent drives them to school on the first day, they will not be able to ride the bus home that afternoon.

Here’s a helpful resource from OCPS to find bus locations and pick-up/drop-off times. We can’t wait to see our MetroWest Orcas tomorrow! 🐋📚✨
