Broward County Physical Education

Another awesome PD in Broward today. Special thanks to US Soccer Foundation for training our teachers. Also a huge thank you to Carol Lynn for opening up her school for us.

Great things going on in Broward! Full Inclusion PE training last Saturday. Our teachers learned strategies in adapting lessons and modifying equipment to include all students.

Had another great PD last Friday. Essentials of Physical Education Curriculum (EPEC) covers all our Elem PE curriculum on our canvas courses with some BEST practices from OPEN and SPARK. Below are some pics of teachers working on their jump rope skills.

We have had some Awesome events this month in Broward. 1. Miami Heat’s mascot Burnie and the Cardinal Gibbons basketball team at Bright Horizons Center, 2. The ribbon cutting of the new basketball/ PE court at Margate Elem, 3. The 2024 STACK UP.

The Bright Horizons Center got a visit from the Miami Heat’s Burnie and the basketball teams from a local high school. They put on an awesome basketball demonstration for the students.

We are a week away from the Fall 2024 BRES Parents PE Week! Starts Monday October 7th! This event aligns with the and Family PE Week national event! The schedule is posted on the BRES Website and has been sent out via email as well. Look forward to seeing all of the parents there!

The OPEN Empowerment Workshop came to Palm Beach this weekend. What an Awesome training! Thank you OPEN and Palm Beach Physical Education for putting on this great workshop.

This was 8 years ago. A great SPARK training. WOW, has the time gone fast. Many of the teachers have retired.
