LEMON CHRONICLES CONTINUED!
Chemistry is all about how atoms, molecules and ions behave and undergo changes with reacted with other substances.
We added some household ingredients to our lemon play by mixing baking soda, dish soap and water color and created Lemon Volcanos.
We work towards creating playful science set ups that are hands on, maybe a little messy and certainly a whole lot of fun.
We strive to create open ended element of play for our young scientist!

Last week we used lemons for our stamp art. The children helped cut up the lemons, each one of the kids got to smell and taste the lemons.
The reactions were PRICELESS!!!🙂
With a couple of sour faces and lots of laughter.
Fruits and veggies are so fun to use in artwork because the designs and patterns they make are organic and unpredictable.
Have you ever stamped a broccoli or celery?
The possibilities are endless.

As children love to create with simple materials, we thought it would be a great idea to use unwanted packing and wrapping materials from this holiday season such as bubble wrap, wrapping paper, packing foam etc and mix these materials with paint to give the children a great sensory learning experience.
