Set sail with this healthy and fun boat-shaped snack ⛵! Kids will love assembling their own edible boats while enjoying a nutritious treat.
Ingredients:
-Cucumber
-Bell pepper
-Carrot
-Ranch dressing
-Toothpick
-Life saver gummy
Instructions:
1. Slice the cucumber in half lengthwise to create the base of the boat, then use a spoon to scoop out the center.
2. Cut a second thin slice of cucumber lengthwise to use as the mast.
3. Cut the carrot in half lengthwise.
4. Slice the bell pepper into a triangle shape to create the sail.
5. Fill the hollowed cucumber boat with ranch dressing.
6. Fold the small cucumber slice and use a toothpick with the carrot piece to secure it upright as the mast.
7. Attach the bell pepper sail to the toothpick.
8. Place a gummy Life Saver at the front of the boat as the final touch.

Bring the beauty of the ocean to life with this fun and easy coral reef sponge painting craft! 🌊🐠 This hands-on activity encourages creativity, strengthens fine motor skills, and introduces kids to the vibrant world beneath the sea. Perfect for summer fun or an ocean-themed learning unit!�
Materials:
- Blue construction paper
- Acrylic paint in bright coral colors (like pink, orange, yellow, etc.)
- Green paint
- Sponges (cut into small pieces for painting)
- Paintbrushes (optional for details)
- Paper plate
Directions:
1. Begin by cutting sponges into fun shapes—circles, stars, and irregular forms—to represent coral, seaweed, and other ocean plants.
2. Give your child a sheet of blue construction paper to serve as their ocean backdrop.
3. Using a sand-colored paint, have them brush or sponge the bottom portion of the paper to represent the ocean floor. Let it dry slightly.
4. Pour a variety of bright paint colors onto a paper plate. Dip the different shaped sponges into the paint and press them onto the paper to create colorful, textured coral and sea plants. Encourage layering and overlapping for a more dynamic reef scene.
5. Add green paint using a brush or sponge to create wavy seaweed rising from the sandy bottom.
6. Once everything dries, your child can use crayons or markers to draw in fish, bubbles, or other sea creatures to bring their underwater world to life!

💜🎨 Purple Finger Painting Fun in Ms. Janae's Class! 🎨💜
Today, the children in Ms. Janae's class had a wonderful time exploring the color purple through finger painting! Using their hands and fingers, they spread, swirled, and mixed paint across their paper to create beautiful purple masterpieces.
This sensory-rich activity helped strengthen fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and creativity while encouraging the children to recognize and identify the color purple. As they painted, we talked about other purple things we see in the world, helping to build language and color recognition skills.
The children loved feeling the cool paint on their fingers and expressing themselves through art. Learning through hands-on experiences like finger painting helps little minds grow while making learning exciting and fun! 💜🖐️🌟🎨

🚗✈️🚌 Transportation Fun in the Baby Room! 🚚👶
Our little learners have been exploring the exciting world of transportation and discovering all the different ways we travel from place to place! Through hands-on play, songs, and conversations, the babies learned that many forms of transportation use wheels to help them move.
They observed that trucks can have four wheels, while larger trucks may have many more wheels to carry heavy loads. They were fascinated to learn that airplanes have wheels too, which help them safely take off and land. We also talked about how buses, cars, bicycles, and even strollers use wheels to help people get where they need to go.
This fun activity encouraged early language development, observation skills, and cognitive growth as the children explored similarities and differences between different vehicles. Watching their faces light up as they pointed out wheels on their favorite modes of transportation was a wonderful way to build curiosity about the world around them! 🚗🛞✈️🚌💙
