Personal development is not for the weak. The process (healing, self awareness, the work) isn’t a perfect life.

It’s the uncomfortable conversations. It’s showing up in your values when you want to punch someone in the throat. It’s catching yourself repeating an old pattern and making amends. It’s personal responsibility, realizing you’ve been blaming someone else for something you need to change in you.

Self-awareness isn’t always pretty. Sometimes it’s seeing the truth about your habits, your reactions, and the stories you’ve been telling yourself. It’s being hyper aware of your own defects.

The healing happens in the process. And honesty, it’s never done. We just get a little better at showing up.

The process is the willingness to see ourselves, all of it, good and bad.

Most people want the result. Few people talk about the work it takes to get there.

Buckle up.

Not for abuse. Not for betrayal. Not for situations where your safety is at risk. Not even if you have decided you are done.

But for many couples, the problem isn’t that one person is entirely wrong. It’s that both people are stuck focusing on what the other person isn’t doing.

“I’ll be affectionate when they are.”
“I’ll communicate when they do.”
“I’ll change when they change.”

And nothing changes.

One of the most powerful questions you can ask yourself is:

What can I do different?

Not because everything is your fault.
Because that’s where your power is.

Nothing changes until something changes.

When motivation leaves and self-doubt gets loud, remember everything you’ve gone through. Everything you’ve overcome. Remember who you are. Remember that dog in you. It didn’t disappear, you just forgot for a minute.

I’ve spent the last few years coaching mostly men. One thing I’ve learned is that many aren’t struggling with a lack of emotion. They’re struggling with a lack of language and a lack of safety. Sometimes a small shift in how we communicate can completely change the conversation.

I know a lot of people come to me because I’m not a therapist and they don’t want to sit in there feelings but we can’t avoid them. ❤️

Men are healing! And it’s important. June is men’s mental health month and research consistently shows that men are significantly less likely to ask for help due to stigma, cultural expectations and beliefs that they SHOULD handle problems alone.

This mission feels personal! I watched my dad suffer his grief my entire life after losing my mother when we were children. And he did it quietly and alone and I saw first hand how that manifested.

Men, you don’t have to suffer in silence. It is no longer “weak” to unravel and unlearn and identify emotions. Being value driven and supported is a new level of freedom that YOU deserve.

Thank you, I am so proud and honored.

Sometimes we just have to get out of our own damn way.

When life feels chaotic, I stop looking for more answers and come back to these principles.

Which one hits home for you?

I used to think healing meant life would finally get easier. But what actually changed is me.

Learned how to slow down instead of spiral.
How to pause instead of react. How to stay aligned instead of abandoning myself when life gets hard.

The work didn’t remove pain, stress, uncertainty, or loss. It just helped me meet those moments in a healthier way.
